Taiwan, China is a global hub of the semiconductor industry. With complex components and high treatment difficulty, semiconductor wastewater cannot be properly treated by conventional processes to meet strict environmental standards. A local wastewater treatment plant had long faced upgrading bottlenecks. After adopting UNISOL MYTEX MBR membrane technology, it realized high-efficiency treatment of 20,000 m³ daily wastewater and gained high recognition from the client.
The plant suffered three major challenges before retrofitting: unstable effluent quality due to frequent water quality fluctuations, no available space for traditional capacity expansion, and complex pollutants with variable loads from multi-industry industrial wastewater inflow.

UNISOL MBR technology resolves these issues via four strengths: compact modular design without extra land occupation and sufficient integrated membrane area; high treatment efficiency with full compliance of effluent standards; shutdown-free modular upgrading for continuous operation; and strong shock load adaptability for complex industrial wastewater.
The project has achieved remarkable improvements in space efficiency, operational stability and resource recycling, setting a benchmark for retrofits of space-limited wastewater plants. UNISOL will keep innovating in membrane separation technologies to boost wastewater resource recovery and global water environment protection.
